In first grade, we brainstormed all the different types of homes there are in the world. The students came up with some great suggestions, including a cave for a bear, a gingerbread house, an igloo, and a castle.
Ellis' book called Home describes many different types of homes, some real and some fictional, and each was paired with a beautiful illustration. It was a great opportunity for them to to think outside of the box and think of people and creatures all around the world and the places that they each call home!
