BSS has over 100 ebooks (or "electronic books") in our collection, which can be accessed by typing the word "ebook" into the search bar above.*** (scroll to the bottom of this post if the search bar won't load).
1. Visit this link: https://bsslibrary.follettdestiny.com.
2. Click on "Blessed Sacrament School" above our logo.
3. Choose Destiny Discover in the sidebar to the left.
4. Then type "ebook" into the search bar.
Please note that this catalog is for print books as well as ebooks, so not everything you see is available to read online. Be sure to either search for the term "ebook" or scroll down to the "Ebooks" section and click the purple "See All" tab to the right of the screen. There are over 100 ebooks to choose from. I have also created collections under "Learning Links" for Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Middle School
Once you are logged in, you are able to view the ebooks on your desktop computer, laptop, or device. There is also an option to checkout and download the book.
LOGGING INTO THE CATALOG
I set up usernames/passwords for the students in grades PreK and up. Preschool families can email me (kferguson@blessedsacrament.org) for access.
Unless there is more than one student in the same grade with the same last name, usernames are in this format:

Username: LastnameYearOfGraduation (example for an 8th grader: Smith20)
Password: bss
Passwords can be changed after logging in for the first time if the student wishes to do so. If you are using a personal device or computer and want to save the login information for the future, just select the box that says “Stay logged in.” If you are having trouble logging in, just email me at kferguson@blessedsacrament.org.

READING THE BOOK:
Once you see a book you are interested in, you can click on the green "Open" button and start reading. Or if you click on More Details, you have the option of checking out the book or reading any reviews other students might have shared. After reading, students can "Rate It!" with their own review. Like a printed book, once an ebook is checked out only that student has access to it. So please only check out a book you intend on reading so others can enjoy it. When you are finished with a book, please click on the "Return" button to make it available for other students.
Once you open the book, use the arrow button to the right of the screen to turn the pages.
