Library Choice Board #2

BSS Library Choice Board Week 2

Please select at least one of these (hopefully fun!) activities to complete this week. Feel free to comment below or email me if you have questions, if you'd like to share a photo or a description of what you chose, or if you just want to say, “Hi!”

Choice #1- Watch Story Time From Space

Choose a video read aloud from the list of astronauts reading from the International Space Station.
My favorites are Ada Twist, Scientist and Rosie Revere, Engineer, but choose whichever you like!

Choice #2- Listen to an Audio Book

Audiobooks are great if you feel like being read to, working on a jigsaw puzzle, or if you are going on a walk or a drive. Put on some headphones or earpods, or play it for everyone in the family to listen to. Use apps like Overdrive or Libby to listen to books from your public library, or try sites like Audible or Tumblebooks AudioBookCloud.

Here are a few suggestions:

On Audible, search for these titles:Story Party: The Complete Collection (Preschool-Grade 4)
Princess Sonora and the Long Sleep (Grades 3-6)
The Terrible Two by Mac Barnett and Jory John (Grades 3-6)

On Tumblebooks AudioBook Cloud, search for these titles:
The Saturdays by Elizabeth Enright (Grades 2-5)
Guardians of Ga’Hoole, Book 1: The Capture (Grades 4-8)
The Genius Files: Mission Unstoppable (Grades (5-8)

Choice #3- Research an Animal on NG Kids
Search for any animal on the NG Kids site and read all about it.
Draw a picture of the animal and write down three facts you learned about it. If you want, you could make your own book about animals!

Choice #4- Listen to a Read Aloud
Listen to Mrs. Ferguson's read aloud of Q is for Duck.
After watching, try to make your own A-Z riddle book! It can be about animals or foods or really any topic that interests you! Be sure to share your riddles with Mrs. Ferguson!

Choice #5 - Do a Craft

Capstone Interactive has several ebooks on crafting.  Use this login information:
Username: linkearth
Password: lovetoread

At the top of the page you will see several "10-minute" craft project books.  (Search for "10-minute" if you don't see them). Select a book from this series and make a craft with supplies you can find in your home. Be sure to email a photo to Mrs. Ferguson with your creation!

Choice #6- Read an Ebook
Use apps like Overdrive or Libby to read books from your public library, read on your Kindle or other e-reader, or visit one of these sites:
BookFlix (username: Learning 20, password: Clifford)
